[bye_to_yer_head]

*Oh. He hadn't really thought about that. Sniff sniff.. oh wait, that's her shoes again. He sniffs around before catching a scent and dashing off. He sniffs up to a closed door and barks.*

Eye of the tiger!!

[prpl_assistant]

[Quietly, she takes out her revolver and advances to the door carefully. She whispers to him:]

Can you smell anyone on the other side?

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He sniffs again and shakes his head. He puts his cold nose on her hand and tries to wedge himself inbetween her and the door, just in case.*

[prpl_assistant]

[She nods grimly, gives him a pat on the head for reassurance, and then tries the door. Locked? No problem. She aims her gun at the lock and shoots it off, before she opens it slowly, gun point first.]

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He crouches down, slinking into the house looking around and sniffing more. He didn't see anything, but his eyesight as a dog wasn't quite that good. He didn't smell anything though. Except more blood.*

Are they going to find the gun?

[prpl_assistant]

[She carefully searches the area; it looks like no one's been home for awhile. She inches her way around the furniture, taking extra care not to bump into anything. Her footprints make very little sound as well.

Exploring the kitchen, she doesn't find anything out of the ordinary. It might be time to take it upstairs. She gestures to Sniper and points upwards.]

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He folds his ears back and crouches low to the ground as he climbs the stairs, once at the top his ears perk and he lets out a happy bark before darting into one of the rooms.*

[prpl_assistant]

[That can only be good news. She rushes in after him, making sure that the coast is clear. But is she happy to see that familiar rifle standing up against the wall.

If no one's come around to catch them by now, than it's probably safe to say they're safe. She keeps her revolver and carefully picks up the rifle. No wonder there was no smell of gunpowder; it hasn't been used in awhile. Probably the last time was when RED had it.

She grins down at Sniper.]

Good work Sniper. Let's get out of here, before the attacker gets back.

[bye_to_yer_head]

*There goes that tail wag again. He looks at it, still unsure how he's doing that, or more importantly how to make it stop.

But he barks agreeably and heads down the stairs, pushing the door open with his snout.*

[prpl_assistant]

[She gives the area one last look, before she runs out with him. She makes sure to note down the location of the house, but whoever who lived there had probably moved on. The whole place was a little dusty.

Clutching the prize, she left with the Sniper, heading back to the fountain.]

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He jumped up on the ledge of the fountain and barked happily. Who's a good dog?

Now they just needed to get it back to RED and maybe he'd be a bit happier.*

[prpl_assistant]

[She does want to give the rifle to the RED. But a thought holds her back.

He's still very injured. Whoever it is who's out there might come back for him, if he found out the rifle's missing. The RED would stand no chance at defending himself. Pyro was around, but not always.

It might be safer to keep the rifle with her for now. Wait until he gets better, before she passes it back to him.]

Sniper. I don't think we should give this back to RED yet. Whoever who attacked him might come back for it.

Please keep this a secret for now. I'll give it back to him, but only when he gets better and strong enough to defend himself.

*He tilts his head and whines a bit. Wouldn't they go looking for the gun with RED even if he didn't have it?

Of course he doesn't have any way of asking that, just putting his wet nose on her hand.*

[prpl_assistant]

[She pets him on the head; just once, just in case he minds.]

Please trust me Sniper. I don't want to see RED injured anymore. We need to get him healed up as soon as possible, just in case something crazy happens here.

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He supposes that's probably a good plan. Knowing Paradise anything is possible.

He scratches an ear with his back leg before sitting up and looking at her. What now?*

[prpl_assistant]

[Oh yeah. Now, what to do with a Sniper in a dog's body. Maybe they should head back to her apartment first, before they discuss anything else.]

Would you be alright if we head to my apartment? I think standing out here with a sniping rifle would attract the very attention we are trying to avoid.

[bye_to_yer_head]

*Another bark and he jumps down off the fountain to follow her back to her place. Something about going to his bosses assistant's apartment struck him as incredibly unprofessional, but hell, he was a dog. What he did now didn't really matter did it?*

[prpl_assistant]

[It's unprofessional, but she couldn't just leave him here. When they finally reach her apartment, she unlocks the door and lets him in.]

Make yourself at home Sniper. Would you like something to drink?

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He shakes his head, sending his ears flopping back and forth. Oh man, it smells wonderful in here. Time to sniff all the things before laying down on the rug and rolling around.*

[prpl_assistant]

[She hides the smile on her face behind her hand; the Sniper really did seem at home with being a dog. She can't remember the last time she read in his profile when he seemed so...well, happy might not be the word, but at least not grouchy.]

Does this happen a lot in Paradise? The shape-shifting, I mean.

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He looks at her upside down from where he's rolled against the couch and gives an agreeable bark. At least this is better then when he was a badger.

He flips over and gives himself a shake before sitting up properly. That was better. He shouldn't be rolling around on the floor like a mongrel.*

[prpl_assistant]

[There was that giant temptation for a belly rub. MUST NOT GIVE IN.]

Do we have to wait for the effect to run out?

[bye_to_yer_head]

*He couldn't shrug but he made an unsure grumbly noise. He hoped it would just wear off and he'd wake up as himself, but he wasn't holding his breath.

There goes something smelling amazing again, sniff sniff... into the kitchen he goes!*

[prpl_assistant]

[Oh, he's hungry? She follows him in.]

Are you hungry Sniper? I don't know what to give you...

[She opens the fridge and contemplates the insides. She's a healthy eater, so there's a balance of the four basic food groups inside.]

[bye_to_yer_head]

[He sticks his head in the fridge, resting it on one of the racks while his eyes roam around. He settles on an orange, grabbing it in his teeth and then heading back to the front room to eat it, peel and all.

He settles down with his orange between his paws and starts gnawing on it.]
